Update

UPDATE: 7.14.10 @ 2:30pm

Message from Kelly:

Hello everyone, just an update........ I had the dialysis catheter removed on Monday, which is the last step in my progress. Yeah!!!  I am sore again, but it wont last long.... I will be recovering for a couple of weeks then I should be feeling good again. I want to thank everyone for all the support and prayers along the way, it has been amazing!!!!

Love, Kelly

Please remember to HELP Kelly by letting her rest.  I know many would love to see her, hug her neck and generally wish her well in person.  There will be time for that, and she wants that.  But right now it is imperative everyone allow her to just rest.  Please no requests for lunches, visits, get togethers, and certainly no drop bys for the first two months.  Don't be surprised to see Dave running interference with great ferocity.  Rest assured Kelly is reading your comments on the site and loving them.  She is so very proud to have so many friends wishing her the best and showing her love and support.  PLEASE KEEP THAT UP!

As always, thank you for all the thoughts and prayers from everyone. We appreciate your support of Aaron, Kelly and our family!

Very cool about your Cher gig--its funny I was just 'seeing & hearing you' yesterday when I heard Cher singing--it always seems like to me that Cher is a Kelly impersonator! :~) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE YOU!!! Kelly and Aaron, that is Wonderful. So happy for you. Take care, follow the doctors orders and hang in there.

Jenny Reisch / 06.05.10

Girl, you take care of yourself and that beautiful gift that Aaron gave you. I know that everyone including myself would even be willing to wait 2 years to see you, if that meant making sure we got you out of the danger zone. The most important thing for you to do is to put yourself FIRST. Yep, I said FIRST! I know that we may have to hypnotize you in order to do this, but your journey is just beginning. I feel blessed to have you in my life! If you and David need anything, you just call me. I don't even worry for a minute when I think about David taking care of you. If you play by the rules, you may be kicking butt at P90X sooner than you think! lol God Blessed You...and everyone is so lucky to have you in our lives...even at a distance until you are in the safe zone. Aaron is officially my favorite person in the world. Get well, stay well, and be well. I love you Kelly!

Kellys Husband / 06.04.10

Kelly, all the prayers and comments here have greatly moved me. I believe it divinely has helped carried you to a new beginning. This has been very hard but soon life will be good again. It seems that some miracles are different than the ones you pray for. Aaron I can't even tell you how I feel without getting choked up, but I will be able to someday. Well, congratulations to the doctors and nurses who did the work, and the patients who did everything they could to be ready for this. Praying that all continues to go well. Isn't it amazing that God uses two bad kidneys to bring all of these people together on this website? It becomes more obvious each day that God is using all things in this world to bring His family together in love and unity. Look at all the new friends I made because of Kelly's crummy kidneys! It really is kind of a miracle, isn't it? Best wishes to Kelly and Aaron and all the people who care about them.

Be assured of my prayers from the interior of BRAZIL, from this member of an American pioneer family in Brazil since the Guardianýs "7-Year Plan"- 1947, now in its 4th generation of active Bahýýs here. (I am only the second!). Bahýuýllýh has truly united the world thru the Internet, as it used to take us "months" just to exchange correspondence during the Plans of the Guardian. We pray the Faith will now expand as rapidly as communications. Faithfully in His service.

Hei Kelly, Janice showed me your video and I want to support you. I do not use checks and do not have your account number, so I will send money with Janice and she will send it to you. I hope this surgery will give you a brand new and rich life for 50 more years (plus or minus 10). It will feel good for me to be a little help in this situation. Good luck Kelly!

You have reminded me that at the end of the day, faith is at the core of overcoming obstacles in life. I admire your brother Aaron for his courage and love for his family. I'm happy for you that he is enough of a match, for transplant My heart is with you and your family, truly. I'm sure we'll meet eventually, I'll be in Myrtle Beach from Sept.- Dec. Kelly; I am Praying for you both. I know it's a bit scary, but God has lead you to this day. My Mom was born with only 1 kidney. She had a bypass operation back in the '70s, due to an Aneurysm in the renal artery and she is here today because of it. That was during a time when technology was barely getting there. You are very lucky and Blessed, as today technology is well ahead of the game. You will continue to be in my daily Prayers. God Bless. Cyn Harrelson[Barbra]

Hi Kelly & Aaron-We have never met, but I am a friend of Rob Caudill's. My husband was on peritoneal dialysis for 2 years. In Novemeber 2006 he had a successful kidney transplant. Several family members and friends tested unsuccessfully to be a donor. I myself had health issues and was denied being a donor because of medicines I was required to take for treatment--needless to say, that broke my heart. After only 6 months on a waiting list, he received the gift of a cadavor kidney. There are no words to describe how thankful we were for the generous gift we received from our donor and family. (I learned the importance of organ donation through our process.) Aaron, you are going to be so blessed when you see the rewards you get from your donation to your sister! She will be given a new life and she will be bouncing off the walls with her new energy. She will be able to eat almost anything, she will be able to swim in a pool again, and she will be able to travel when and where she wants! Three and a half years after his transplant, my husband only sees his doctor once a year; with lab work done twice yearly. So he isn't even bothered with frequent doctor visits. And a lot of that is done via satellite. He has excellent doctor reports and is told his kidney is working better than someone with their original kidney. Doctors are amazed at the success he's had. He does anything he wants and whenever he wants. I just wanted to share my success story with you and let you both know this journey is so worth it. It is scary entering the unknown, but I can tell you from my own experience that this one is so rewarding. And best of all, you are almost there! God bless you both--my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!
